The site also reports that, "current consensus is that [Mousse Pocky] is MUCH better than Meiji Fran!"

Meiji Fran is a new competing cookie snack, very much like Pocky. In comparison, JSnacks reports that Meiji is "thicker than standard Glico Pocky."

I haven't tried Meiji Fran, but Mousse Pocky _is_ thick (at least the chocolate variety). If anything, I see our innate desire for a mate as an onerous, biological curse. I feel like an alien dropped in to the human race and instilled with this need to find companionship, sex, and validation, but without the skills to do so. Wouldn't it be easier being a dog? If you hesitate and pick up the call not in the order it came in you might get someone else's call. Bryan and I took a two-hour lunch with Grace. We went to Chinatown for ph&#244, which hit the spot because it was raining and chilly. Then I had the grand idea of getting tadpole drinks.

Grace mentioned that she goes to a place on Geary in the Sunset that has excellent tadpole drinks. So we were off. Bryan bought a coconut drink, and Grace got a milk-tea one at Double Rainbow. I went next door to Wonderful Foods Co., where they sell assorted dried and preserved sweets, and candies.

I bought candied ginger (hot and good for upset stomaches); preserved kumquats; and pickled mango. My mouth starts salivating as soon as I step into that place. Oh yes, how wonderful it is.

Bryan picked up his favorite candy du jour--a Japanese plum-flavored gummy candy call Qun.
